akd STUDIO is not just a company; it is the synthesis of two distinct professional lifetimes. Founded in 2025 by husband-wife duo Dipankar Saha and Kalyani Ghosh, our studio was born from a simple realization: Great structures need strong strategies, and great strategies need solid structures.
We bring together over five decades of combined expertise. While one of us has spent 30 years navigating the corridors of corporate IT, ERP implementation, and government projects, the other has spent 20 years shaping skylines, from industrial parks to intricate residential facades.

A veteran spent three decades in the technology trenches – from computer hardware in 1995 to SAP B1 implementation in auto-part manufacturing, from managing complex government projects to discovering the power of Agile ERP solutions. With an MCA earned while working full-time, and experience serving Indian multinationals and mentoring under ERP innovators, Dipankar founded ICON in 2007, delivering everything from home IT solutions to intricate corporate infrastructure projects. His network spans industry leaders from HP to Cisco, government officials from clerks to IAS officers, and countless workshops that shaped his understanding of how technology should serve business – not complicate it.
Built her career in the world of lines, spaces, and structures. After completing her Architectural Assistantship through NCVT in 2005, she worked across residential complexes, commercial buildings, industrial parks, facade solutions, and mechanical systems from motorized canopies to truss structures. Twenty years of hands-on experience with Indian and international firms taught her that great architecture isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about function, flow, and the human experience within space.
In 2025, we combined forces. Technology + Design. Strategy + Space. akd STUDIO – axis & aura was born.
